Cover glass (1/4)
Cover glass is a protective layer of material on the outermost layer of touch screens, mainly used for the outermost layer of touch screens, also known as reinforced optical glass, glass windows, and reinforced mobile phone lenses. The main raw material for cover glass products is ultra-thin flat glass. After processing with cutting, CNC precision carving, thinning, strengthening, coating, printing and other processes, it has functions such as impact resistance, scratch resistance, oil stain resistance, fingerprint resistance, and enhanced light transmittance.
The cover glass mainly includes 2D glass, 2.5D glass, 3D glass, UTG ultra-thin glass, and silicon aluminum glass. The most commonly used in smartphones are 3D glass, UTG ultra-thin glass, and silicon aluminum glass. 3D glass refers to screen glass with a curved surface throughout; UTG ultra-thin glass refers to glass with a thickness of less than 1.2mm; Silicon aluminum glass is produced using the Li20-A1203-Si02 system and rolling method. It has high transparency and is suitable for chemical tempering. Compared with traditional sodium calcium glass, it has better physical and chemical properties. The technical characteristics of cover glass are highly customized, high processing accuracy, high process difficulty, and comprehensive application of multidisciplinary technology.
